Bennington permits STRs citywide with no local registry, caps, or stand‑alone STR fee; compliance hinges on standard state tax registration (9% meals/rooms + 3% surcharge), safety inspections via the town Fire Marshal/Code Enforcement, and zoning/building permits where applicable—moderate cost/complexity but predictable and supported by town/state guidance.
