Challenging to Investors
Morgan County has a 90‑day moratorium blocking new STR applications and revising rules, creating clear regulatory uncertainty. Even post‑moratorium, investors face multi‑step permitting (zoning compliance, business license, possible temporary use/building permits) and must navigate city‑county overlap, all likely raising compliance costs and timelines.
