The historic center of San Sebastián itself, with its traditional plaza and the San Sebastián Mártir parish church, gives visitors a glimpse of small-town Puerto Rican life. Locally run restaurants, panaderías, and small shops cluster around the square, where residents gather in the evenings. From here, the western coast towns of Rincón and Aguadilla are within about 45 minutes to an hour by car, expanding the range of beaches, surfing schools, and seafood dining available to anyone based in the area.

San Sebastián appeals to short-term rental owners because it offers a quieter, more authentic alternative to the busier coastal resort zones, while still placing major natural attractions, beaches, and the capital within easy reach. Its central location in northwestern Puerto Rico makes it well suited to guests who want to combine mountain scenery, waterfalls, and inland culture with day trips to the coast and to San Juan.
