The broader north-central coast near Florida features several public beaches, including stretches near Barceloneta and Manatí, where calm waters and coconut palms draw both locals and travelers, all within roughly a 15- to 30-minute drive.

For short-term rental owners and guests, Florida offers an appealing combination of small-town character and proximity to some of Puerto Rico's most distinctive natural attractions. Its location along the main northern highway makes it a convenient, more affordable alternative to staying directly in San Juan, while still putting visitors within easy reach of the coast, the karst caves, and the cultural sites of the island's interior.
