Short‑term rentals are allowed in Stevens/Clay Township but require zoning approvals—Special Exception in Agricultural and Neighborhood Commercial districts and Conditional Use in Forest Recreation and Agricultural Transition districts—with only Residential and Limited Industrial districts excluded. The process involves discretionary review and public hearings, yet the rules are clearly laid out, with no caps mentioned and a supportive tone toward compliant operations.
