Generally Investor friendly
Short‑term rentals are allowed under Oregon’s statewide rules with only the 1.5% transient lodging tax and basic safety standards required, indicating a generally permissive environment. Because Stayton has no published STR ordinance, investors must independently verify zoning, potential local business licenses, and any additional tax obligations, creating moderate compliance uncertainty.
