Blue River is a small unincorporated community nestled in Lane County, Oregon, along the banks of the McKenzie River in the western Cascades. With a population of only a few hundred residents, the community has a quiet, forested character, surrounded by old-growth timber, volcanic terrain, and the rushing waters of the river that gave it its name. Blue River serves as a gateway to some of Oregon's most popular outdoor destinations, including the McKenzie River watershed, the Willamette National Forest, and a chain of reservoirs and campgrounds.
