Generally Investor friendly
Schroon Lake explicitly allows short‑term rentals and provides a clear, straightforward permitting process with a 30‑day review, appeal path, and supportive tone that recognizes STRs as an economic benefit. Requirements include a permit, safety inspections, occupancy/parking limits, and ongoing compliance (septic/water testing every three years), plus fines up to $950 for violations—moderate costs and rules, but no restrictive caps and a known compliance path.
