Red River, NM

Red River is a small alpine village in Taos County, New Mexico, home to roughly 500 year-round residents. Tucked into a narrow valley of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains at about 8,750 feet, the town developed in the late 1800s as a gold and silver mining settlement and has since reinvented itself as a year-round mountain resort.
