Challenging to Investors
STRs are permitted only in a few zones by-right and require a special exception (owner-occupied, 120-day cap, annual reporting) in most residential districts; properties like ADUs, single-family with ADUs, apartments, and boarding houses are prohibited. Permits are valid for two years with inspections, fee requirements, and revocation for non-compliance; active enforcement via complaints and audit processes increases compliance risk.
