Built in three stages between the late 1700s and the 1830s, the layered home is known for its architecture, its colorful past, and its reputation as one of Mississippi's most haunted houses, drawing visitors for daytime history tours as well as seasonal ghost walks.

Between its Civil War legacy, its riverfront casino district, and its position along the Great River Road, Vicksburg offers short-term rental owners a base that appeals to history-focused travelers, road-trippers, and weekend visitors from Jackson and the surrounding region.
