Mankato Regulations

Outside cities, STRs are allowed but require an Interim Use Permit, building inspection/Certificate of Occupancy, potential MDH lodging license, detailed site/floor plans, business plan, manager 24/7 response, parking/sewage compliance, guest postings, neighbor notices, and have a one-per-parcel cap plus 125‑ft buffer in certain zones; within Mankato the regulatory gap introduces material uncertainty and potential enforcement risk for investors.
