Generally Investor friendly
Short-term rentals are allowed in Alanson but treated as business uses under general zoning; investors must comply with zoning rules, obtain any needed building/fire/health permits, and satisfy state registration, tax collection (6% Michigan Use Tax), and business registration—moderate permitting and compliance but no explicit caps and city tone is generally permissive.
