Set on the Pocomoke River, Snow Hill is roughly a 25-minute drive from Berlin and offers a riverside park, a handful of antique and craft shops, and a slow pace that contrasts with the beach crowds. Together with Berlin's own nineteenth-century homes and locally owned storefronts, it gives visitors a sense of the rural Eastern Shore that existed long before the highway brought beach tourism to the peninsula.

For short-term rental owners, Berlin's appeal is the balance it strikes.
