Ames Regulations

Ames explicitly allows STRs citywide with a free, voluntary registration and simple inspection, and the city’s tone is supportive. However, Home Share is capped at 90 days per year and both categories require the property to be the owner’s primary residence, which limits investment potential and revenue.
