Fort Mohave is an unincorporated community in Mohave County in northwestern Arizona, set along the Colorado River directly across from Bullhead City and the casino resort corridor of Laughlin, Nevada. The community has grown steadily over the past two decades and today is home to roughly twenty thousand residents, many of whom live in newer suburban subdivisions that fan out from the riverfront. With its arid desert setting, wide skies, and easy access to the river, Fort Mohave has a relaxed, sun-soaked character that blends small-town Arizona with the energy of a border resort region. It sits approximately ninety miles south of Las Vegas along the Laughlin–Las Vegas Parkway and US-95 corridor, making it a natural stopover and base for travelers exploring the lower Colorado River valley.

About twenty miles to the south along the historic Route 66 corridor sits Oatman, Arizona, a former gold-mining town that is now best known for its herd of free-roaming wild burros that wander the main street. The narrow wooden sidewalks, old-time shootouts staged by costumed gunfighters, and rugged mountain backdrop make it one of the most photographed small towns in the American Southwest.

A bit farther afield, Grand Canyon West on the Hualapai Reservation is roughly a ninety-minute drive to the north, offering the Grand Canyon Skywalk and rim-side viewpoints that draw visitors from around the world. To the south, Lake Havasu City and the relocated London Bridge are about an hour and a half away, adding a second major lake-playground and a singular piece of British history transplanted to the Arizona desert.
