Generally Investor friendly
STRs are permitted in the Denali Borough communities of Healy and Cantwell with straightforward state and borough licensing (e.g., $50 Alaska Business License, tax registration), no apparent caps, and a generally supportive local stance. However, operations are effectively limited to those communities (not within the park), require seasonal or regular registration with quarterly accommodation tax filings, and depend on zoning compliance—creating moderate permitting, tax, and operational obligations for investors.
