Back in town, the Canal Street historic downtown and the adjacent Flagler Avenue beachside district give New Smyrna Beach a walkable local core of restored early-twentieth-century buildings, independent boutiques, art galleries, coffee shops, and farm-to-table restaurants. The two districts host a weekly farmers market, live music, and seasonal festivals, and they sit only minutes from the sand.
